If he were able to zoom out from the figure and see more of the ground, Francis Bacon might have done something like this and he would have probably done so using this palette - but he wouldn't have because his lens was always a fixed frame of the human body! In this painting I recognize the orderly shafts of light that is modern architecture's cold lines and intersecting planes of glass and steel, but you've distorted and disturbed this modernist equilibrium as Bacon had shaken up his Popes' holy order, kicking in their pious facades, and breaking free the chaos, the monsters, that lay repressed behind the surface appearance of order. The muted and enigmatic figure you place in the eye of this storm of the world purging itself is a poignant counterpoint. I like this painting very much.
